the Wedding Photography experience
My Approach For Photographing Your Wedding
My approach to photographing your wedding is simple, I am there to capture your story as it unfolds. Wedding planning is hard enough. I streamline the process by providing an easy and exciting experience so you both will never have to worry.
I want you to look back on your wedding day and remember not only the details, but how it made you both feel. I want for you to go into your wedding day with full confidence that your day will be captured exactly how it happened. Every experience is unique couple and is a chance for me to share my passion for genuine, romantic and vibrate imagery. Being a wedding photographer isn’t just another job for me, but something I do because I truly love it.
My approach is to build a trusting and long lasting relationships with the couples who share their relationship stories with me. I am crazy passionate about relationships, love and people.
My Priorities & Areas Of Focus
Focus On Emotions & Real Moments
I like to focus on the emotions on the wedding day: you, your significant other, your families & your guests. From the tear that rolls down your father's cheek as he gives you away, to the anticipation of the little ones included in your day, to the look of love and joy as you both final tie the knot in-front of everyone you love. I want to capture your love’s story including the laughter, tears and passionate moments.
Focus On You As A Couple Through Natural Posing
Most couples have not used to being in front of a camera, myself and my husband included. It can be daunting and awkward to have to hold a kissing or intimate pose for what feels like hours, so that the photographer can capture a specific image. I like to capture moments as they happen, as well as provide just enough direction to make you feel comfortable to create natural and amazing wedding and engagement images. I combine a lifestyle and documentary approach to captures these special types of moments.
I pay attention to angles, awkward expressions and that annoying double chin that every single person in the world gets. I like to include a little humour to lighten the mood and make you feel more comfortable.
Focus On Family
Your wedding day, is more than just two people getting married, it is the union of two separate families. I make sure to celebrate this, I pay particular attention and dedicate time to family members. This shows in the little moments like the father-daughter dance or during the wedding reception toasts with family and friends.
Focus On Details
You spent hours, days, and maybe weeks, planning your wedding. All the little details from the wedding ring box, to the centre pieces to your wedding dress and your wedding venue. These details are important part of your wedding experience. I have a running list of details that I like to capture during your day, so even though your wedding day moves fast, I will still take the time to capture these details you spend so much time and energy on
Focus On Having Fun
Even though your wedding planning might have caused you a little stress, I like to take some time and have some fun with both of you and your families on your wedding day.
I like it when we can add a little silly, or funny, or creative moment to your story. In most cases these happen naturally, while I am busy snapping away on my cameras (yes I carry two), other times the idea is to reduce any tension, or stress by challenging you to be a little silly or ridiculous such as these moments below:
What happens when you book me to photography your wedding?
When you book with me you can expect photographs that are rich in colour as well as emotion. I tend to edit in a vibrant but romantic fashion, so that your wedding photos will emulate the warmth, emotion and uniqueness that is your wedding day. I love being a part of weddings and engagements, and do not like to "watch the clock". I am there, celebrating with you until the end of the evening (including the wedding dance floor antics).
During the reception, while you are eating, or on the evening of your wedding, I download and edit a sneak peak of your wedding images. I want you to have control of your wedding images and to decide which ones will be the first that your friends and family will see.
I don't want you to have to wait for weeks before you see any of your wedding images, and my couples love waking up and having some photos of their wedding the day before, to share with their loved ones.
